Operations Manager

Work Experience

Brought in as Operations Manager taking care of the day to day running of the business where we import from the USA and Romania as well as purchasing British and European manufactured products. Our customers range from one-man band through to major OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer). Of particular importance was taking control of the OEM accounts such as New Holland Ford, JCB and Agco where schedules are issued on a weekly basis but stock travels from all areas. Initiated set up programmes for stock control and consignment warehouses. Instigated stock reduction and cost cutting exercises alongside the consolidation of resources. Brought in bi-annual assessments and a full training programme for all employees.

After one year, due to compulsory purchase, we were forced to move the warehouse in twelve weeks and thus made a number of changes such as bin numbering, and giving stock control over to the warehouse staff. Created portfolio of costs involved in the move and presented final bill to the local council.
