Responsible for the entire scope of management tasks with the emphasis on Sales and Project management. Also responsible for the success of the production core and the entire order to delivery process through the company.

This meant the writing of the concept, the functional specs, proposal, project plan, consul-tancy and eventual Service Level Agreements.

A truly generalistic job.

Desk is a company that has its core business in the interfacing of data-base driven websites or rather the web- interfacing of databases.

We did this for quite some major companies in the Netherlands like KPN (The Dutch Telecom), NVM (The organization for real estate brokers), BT Ignite (a spin-off of British Telecom), Hooge Huys (a major Dutch insurance company), and Zonnet (a major ISP in the Netherlands).

The type of websites or client/server applications developed for the web were in majority custom-made and total solutions concerning intranet, extranets and internet.

aug1998 – jul1999 Fortis Nederland

Project Coordinator
Co-responsible for the rollout of the servers used at the bank offices. The rollout was necessary for the conversion of Novell to Windows NT. After this rollout, the NT server was remotely installed on the servers. My main task was to conduct the installation giving telephonic support.

Responsible for the offering of solutions to companies and private persons for problems that occurred with the using of electronic banking software. Written scripts that mapped the type of problem and the action expected from the co-worker. Introduced a ticketing method. In addition, initiated projects concerning a better service level. My skills attributed to the gen-eral performance of this particular helpdesk.

The above-described activities were the majority of my tasks. However, there were also moments that I got the chance to participate in the decision what strategically were the best moves to give this helpdesk the right position in the entire organization. Also within the project groups, I had the significant vote.

The benefit with this job was the possibility to educate you, which also ensured uniformity in communication to the end user. With the team, we won a pan European award and were chosen as being the best helpdesk by an independent instution. This was based on quality and servicelevel.

A person who works optimal in a project-based environment and will attribute to the organization as a valuable employee, sharply observating where weaknesses are building up and finding a solution for this problem, keeping in mind, that the product or the scope of the project is not in jeopardy. If there is any reason for me to use my authority, I will not hide it and tell my staff what they should do to engage the targets that are expected from us as a team. It may look as a biting argument but I am a true team player and based on my past and present I can say with success. In all honesty I am very practical and whether you like it or not, may appear a bit unconventional, in short; “a true entrepreneurial mentality”.
