Work Experience
I started my career as an auditor for a Big 4 Audit Firm.To assume responsibilities in various business domains and to implement and manage decisions & results, I then worked for a private Investment Group.
To enlarge my experience in a growth industry, I joined a starting high tech company as Finance & Administrative Director. To prepare and support the company’s growth from a start-up company towards a global listed Group, I built the Finance & Admin., HRM and Legal Department. I coordinated all financing rounds since incorporation, including the IPO; I prepared business plans, due diligence and valuation exercises; I was responsible for Investor Relations.
As Head of Finance at Ernst & Young Belgium, I developed the local statutory accounting department into a Finance department incl. Treasury, Analytical Accounting and international Management Reporting and I prepared E&Y Belgium for Global Profit Sharing (reporting to E&Y International).
At ING Real Estate Development I was responsible for worldwide deployment of Compliance, including Sarbanes-Oxley, Operational & Information Risk Management, etc.
Most recently I took responsibility as CEO and CFO to restructure a biotech company developing novel anti-cancer therapeutics.
I am currently advising young innovative companies on strategic, corporate finance and financial matters.

Education
Master Degree in Applied Economic Sciences, from the Antwerp University (U.F.S.I.A.),with a concentration in Business Economics & Finance.
Thesis project completed with honors on the subject of Belgian taxation for Investment Funds, under the guidance of Professor J. J. Couturier.
Internship with Belgian Institute of Auditors.
