The Comms Warehouse, Interim Manager September2001/December 2001

The Comms Warehouse was a new business providing reduced telephone call costing services for corporate clients and channel partners in the UK.

CommSoft, UK General Sales Manager March 2000/June 2001

CommSoft were an Australian based software house selling their products in the UK through a series of channel partners and authorised distributors. The portfolio consisted of a CRM solution designed for direct marketing organisations and a suite of cost control packages designed to manage: telephone call costs, internet access and mobile telephony usage.

Achievements:

· Signed agreements with the four largest UK distributors.
· Increased installations from zero to 100 units per month in 9 months.
· Overachieved against revenues targets in first full year.
· UK sales performance enabled company to float on the ASX.
· Won a £ 500 k contact for communications management with Cap Gemini.
· Recruited trained and developed an account management team of 16 staff and appointed two new regional sales managers.
· Created all marketing and promotional materials including contracts and company web site.
· Established the business as number two in the market space.


DeTeWe Ltd, Sales Director January 1996/February 2000

DeTeWe was made up of three loss making telecoms companies: Shipton a PBX supplier, UTL a telecoms distributor and RPL Callcentre specialist.

Callcentre solutions: Rockwell Spectrum ACD, Micrologica multi media contact centre, Active 8 CRM, scripting and power dialling solution, Global IVR, Racal voice recording.

Corporate account solutions including: Avaya and Mitel PBX / IP products, Cisco data networking applications.

Achievements:

· Turned £ 3 million loss making business into a profitable organisation.
· Reduced sales headcount from 48 to 24, increasing margins on a smaller turnover.
· Re-engineered back office services closing 6 offices and reducing headcount from 320 to 175 staff.
· Product marketing and marketing communications including a full rebranding and repositioning exercise.
· Major Call centre sales to, Great Western Trains, Hambro’s, The Royal Mint, The Post Office and The Computer Science Group.
· Developed a number of new managers from within and commenced a graduate training program.
· Sponsored the development of Active 8, an award winning CRM solution.
SDX/Avaya, Regional Channel Manager June 1993/December 1995

· Managing a number of channel partners, responsible for sales, business development budgets, accreditations, sales training and strategic management.
· Won major contracts with Nynex, managed the companies largest partners one of whom won the award for fastest growing reseller.
