Consultancy to TG-Studio’s an Australian, Classical furniture producer, in Indonesia on the following subjects:

* Prepare organization for possible ISO 9001-2000 and TFT certification (Tropical Forrest Trust).
* Improve efficiency and productivity.
* Standardization and modernization of the model range plus components used.
* Change company culture and communication with labor force.
* Production line layout.
* Cost efficiency and corruption control.
* Stabilize and improvement of the supply base.
* Introduction to total quality management.


2001 – 2003

Employer : PT Time Line Productions (Mareno), Indonesia
Position : Managing Director (first 3 months operations manager)

Senior management position directing and reorganizing a 6-site furniture production unit (wood, metal and plastics) with initially a labor force of 920 people. Managed 60 staff through 8 managers.

* Reduced the number of sites from 6 to 2 after a mayor reconstruction of the facilities and process layout.
* Reduced the labor force by approx. 250 to 675 without unrest or production interruptions.
* Reduced fixed costs by over 30%.
* Increased sales by 48% by entering new markets.
* Increased production capacity by 72% with minimal additional investment. (Own R&D)
* Reduced the product range from 2200 models to approx. 450.
* Directed a standardization program to reduce the number of components.
* Introduced and implemented total quality management.
* Headed ISO 9001-2000 and SA 8000 certifications.
* Introduced new services such as integrated order picking and distribution to the client base, reducing distribution cost and increasing customer loyalty.


1996 – 2000

Employer : IP NetWorX Furniture Productions, Byelorussia and Russian Federation
Position : General Manager

Directed the planning, staffing, budgeting and operations of a 2 -site production operation. Scope of responsibility was diverse and included all purchasing, production planning, quality control and financial planning. Managed a production staff of 260 through 12 managers.
* Introduced continuous improvement and quality management programs throughout the organization.
* Results included 25% lower material use and an increase of daily production by 24%.
* Renegotiated key vendor contracts for 22% reduction over previous year costs. Spearheaded cost-reduction initiatives that reduced labor costs by 12% and energy costs by 38%.
* Launched own furniture collection with sales through out Europe, setup distribution channels.


1989 - 1995

Employer : Koole Tuinbouw BV, The Netherlands
Position : Commercial Director

Management position leading marketing and sales. Led the introduction of several new products and positioned the company as one of the leaders in new horticultural applications.

* Included a 2 year project near Al Riad, Saudi Arabia where I was involved in the setup of a large scale dairy project. Included greenhouses, dairy production unit and slaughterhouse.
* Successfully launched several new substrates including the support systems for the professional horticulture market.
* Started exports to Germany, Belgium, Ireland, Taiwan, Japan and the Middle East.
* Setup procedures on administration and reporting systems.


1984 - 1988

Employer : AGA GAS BV (Rommenholler AG), The Netherlands
Position : Sales Engineer, industrial gas applications, region South

Responsible for sales and consultation to customers on applications of Carbon dioxide in horticulture, process and freezer equipment (cryogen and conventional) to the food industry including advice on process layout and packaging technology (boxing, flow-wrap, trans-wrap etc)
