Work Experience
Experience with Interim Management. General manager/turnaround/crisis manager Yeelen Ba, rural electricity company, based on Solar panel technology, Burkina Faso, Africa. The company was in a very bad shape, due to the lack of good management, theft and inappropriate use of goods, and a huge invoice collection problem. Started with a replacement of 1/3 of the personnel, set up of a MT, cleaned up the old situation, regained confidence of personnel and clients, set up a good finance control system, developed a new business model, based on client friendly services.

Function: Started as Vice Operations running the day-to-day business of a very hard growing (100 to 480 people) warehousing, to continue as process flow auditor. Development of new methodologies for operational management and auditing processes.
 Global Commercial Director at Umicore Zinc Alloys Balen Belgium. Umicore is the worlds’ largest non-ferro supplier in the world. The Stock listed zinc company merged with the zinc smelting department of Zinifex forming the number 1 worldwide in zinc Nyrstar.
Function: Reporting to the CEO and responsible for a budget of 1.000.000.000 €, heading Sales, R&D, Logistics and Purchase. Developed for the merge a new sales strategy, reduced risks and managed the “transition management” of the retained people offering them a new vision on the future. My human work attitude was strongly appreciated by the CEO.
 European Logistics Project Manager Cummins Emissions Solutions Rosslyn South Africa. The department produces catalytic exhaust systems for Renault Trucks (France) and Volvo Trucks and Busses (Sweden and Belgium). Wrote a SOP (Standard Operation Procedures) for the return logistics, organised rework and repair in Belgium, looked at logistics flow improvements re cost, VAT, tax and MIDP tax reimbursement issues.
